Bike makers need to put better seats on for seniors. I only buy bikes with longer wider seats, it's impossible to ride on skinny bikes seats as you age. I'm amazed they don't realize this.

What do you think would be best for someone with messed up Shoulders. The reality is Shoulders are critical for everything. I used to ride bikes pretty regularly. But I think untreated calcific Tendonitis rained on my riding parade. I actually had a heart transplant 24 years ago and looking for the perfect ebike. Exercise is critical for the heart.

Someone needs to make an EXTREAM TRYKE ... multi motor All Wheel Drive , mid hight seat with two seat option , Massive Battery good enough for 200 plus miles and enough reserves to power several lights and charge navigation/phones , extra wide aggressive tires , and super low gear for climbing off road and also able to top out at like 30+ .... something for Cross Country Trekking / Fire and Rescue / Hunting / Wilderness Exploring.... just something that pushes the extream in all categories....

If I use only the the throttle mode, does it matter what gear I am in? If yes, what is the recommendation on a road with no hills?

In pedal assist, does it shift automatically or do I do the shifting? If I do the shifting, what is the recommendation? Pedal assist 5 if I want all the help, and shift to gear 1?

I have a fat tire bike and can’t seem to make tight turns without almost falling or sometimes have to go over the curb or over the curb in the street bc I lose balance

My question is about going downhill and trying to use the brake less. What would be a helpful setting? Thanks

If you want an E-bike for RV-ing, be careful of total weight if you lack lifting strength. Folding bikes may be too big folded to fit in your vehicle.

Well explained. At 74, I'll stick with my normal bicycle. Better exercise, safer speeds and braking distances, much smaller CO2 footprint. And much cheaper.

Almost fell on my new trike because of a dog barking really aggressively as i past a street and i got mad and told the dog to f off then this guy who just got out of jail came at me in a threatening way and violent way and he was really rude and i ended up having to call the police

I had two E-bikes a few short years ago in which made me a little lazy, but a Regular Bike (Montague Paratrooper MTB) is no pain no gain; pedaling not stop helps build up your leg muscles and helps your heart become even stronger.

Since riding 10.4 mi. A day on my e bike, my stamina is amazing, stomach muscles greatly improved ( along with arms) not to mention the amazing things it's doing for my.legs. people who say you don't get exercise don't know what they are saying. They should go for are ride on an e bike in 0 or 1 assist. Folks seem to forget the simple fact that these bikes all by themselves typically weigh 60 pounds or more. Good grief. Common sense.

Sad he did not spruke the bike brands and specs. Also, bummer he didnt explain alternate seat options because those seats alone will stop most large people from a purchase.

Your suggestions are ok - mostly common sense. You left out a crucial suggestion: research the company you’re buying from! An ebike is only as good as the company selling it to you. I’m on my 4th purchase, and the sellers run the gamut on the integrity scale. If you buy online, you are putting your trust and your life in someone you don’t know beans about. Research first. Email them and ask a question. See how they respond. I’ve had a problem with all three bikes I bought online. And don’t trust “reviewers” - they get their bikes for free! To keep! They pay nothing. Their word is suspect at best. It’s a crapshoot regardless but you usually get what you pay for. Thank you.

It looks like a great trike. I see where you could have some modifications to make it even better. 1) Add expandable tube bars on the rear seat, that you slide forward / backward and then lock it in with a pin or latch. 2) Add the same thing except these expandable tube bars go left/right. 3) Add a longer / wider rear padded seat platform with a pivot point on the backside of the seat. This would allow you to swing the seat up and have access to the space underneath for groceries or other things. 4) Add a metal basket with an expandable accordion style apparatus at the top with supports. When you want to go grocery shopping, you lift the seat up and out of the way. If you want to put more groceries in, you lift the expanding area up and lock it in place. Now, you have more space for groceries. When you unload the groceries, the things can be collapsed and the seat can be put down again. 4) Add 3 individual seat belts on the rear seat. 5) Add a cob front light on the front. They are brighter and more visible. These are the lights that have yellow elements. 6) With the other things done, you now have more leg room and can add a larger battery as I noticed that there was room for expansion in that area. 6) Color code the reverse knob and the throttle knob. This way it’s easier to distinguish them from each other. Possibly, green for go and yellow for reverse. 7) If you have a split fork for putting the front tire on, then you should add a separate device that can slip over the hub that will prevent the wheel from inadvertently coming loose. The extra device could slip over the axle and attach further up on the fork. It was hard to tell if you had that on the front fork.

On level ground I think class 3 should be 50kph/31mph ... thoughts?

Oh, I like that. Is it suitable as a mobility device? I'm 6', #360 and have arthritis in both hips and my back. I have a two-wheeler that I'm not comfortable riding (original Lektrek) and an older Hoveround. The hoveround is difficult to get in and out of my van, and I don't have space for both vehicles, really, especially if I'm traveling and want both when I arrive.

Here is a hack I didn't think of until a week later when I needed strong zip ties. Cut them off near the lock and use them again. Instead I had thrown them away---doh! Yeah, I had to buy more.

It isn't legal to ride a bike (or trike) on a sidewalk in the city where I live. My 250W trike does not make it up my steep driveway using full throttle and pedal assist. The pedal-assist part is my fault because I am 71. It is a 90-degree turn into the driveway so I have little in the way of momentum. I would be interested in more information on the "walking mode" in their literature, as I have been braking when the motor runs out, getting off, and pushing the bike up the rest of the way up.
